BBC – Albanian (along with the Basque and Georgian), is the oldest uninfluenced language in Europe

Albanian (along with the Basque and Georgian), is the oldest uninfluenced language in Europe.
It is ancient country and ancient culture, isolated by it’s location, by politics, and it has influence the Greek music, Turkish music, Bulgarian music…

While I listen to this music, surrounded by mountains, by the flags… and all these people, their wonderful costumes hanging out around the stage… it was absolutely one of the most wonderful experiences in my life.” – producer Joe Boyd
