Zheji in the first part of "Albanian and Sanskrit" where from the beginning he calls wrong the conclusion of albanologists like Gustav Meyer on the origin of Albanian from relatively new languages ​​such as Latin, Greek, Turkish, Slavic. He also refers to Jerome De Rada who gives us “a more or less clear vision of the spirit world of our forefathers. From the names of the gods he passes to the names of places, various objects, etc., relying on ancient works such as those of Homer, Herodotus, Pliny, etc. The view he gives us of the Pelasgian world is more or less complete and valid, in general, even to this day.

The conclusion that Zheji reaches with this study is this: the lexical system of the Albanian language is wider than that of the Sanskrit language, so it includes it and the Sanskrit language system is a subset of the community of the Albanian language system. This conclusion pushes Zheji to declare that it conforms to the spirit of our Renaissance on the Albanian language, because it clarifies their prophetic vision on an ancient antiquity of our language and people.

The two parts of this work are curated and accompanied by introductions by Zheji's relatives, Gjergj Zheji and Lluka Qafoku. The first defends this work as follows: "Philosophical-logical-etymological analyzes in this study are fully justified from the point of view of the Knowledge of our time, although not from the point of view of classical linguistics, where many linguists are still stuck." The second sees it as the discovery of a sui generis technology, to make them operative in the field of etymology, the genius discoveries of sign theory and the meaning of modern linguistics. This discovery, according to Qafoku, does not go beyond the framework of the efforts that have started since the beginning of the twentieth century and that see the problems of the origin of the word, also from the logical and psychological point of view.

So it is up to the linguists and people who have the word in the focus of their work to make an analysis of this work of the eminent translator and perhaps to learn more if the living legend of Albanian translation, Petro Zheji, has not entered a mined territory. Perhaps it is the same fertile territory where the hypotheses about the ancient gene of the origin of the Albanians and their language abound, and the same territory to which the claimants add that it belongs to the Homer bard, that is, the land of the Pelasgians.


These studies, as the author claims, should have been published here three decades ago. It took a long time to convince Zhej that his ideas are of this time and he needed them.
